The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers and recovered a locally made firearm with seven cartridges.
The arrests followed a coordinated operation by operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit based on credible intelligence.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the suspects were apprehended during a raid on a hideout in the Sabo, Mokola area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
A search of the apartment led to the recovery of a single barrel locally made cut to size gun and seven cartridges.
The police said the suspects are currently in custody while investigations continue to determine their involvement in other criminal activities and identify possible accomplices.
