Hon. Balogun Olatunji Smith, popularly known as Kollabo, has expressed profound gratitude to the leaders and stakeholders of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Ibadan North East Local Government following his emergence as the party’s chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming local government election.
Speaking shortly after his confirmation, Hon. Balogun, described the confidence reposed in him by the party leadership as a great honour and a call to greater service. He thanked the APM Local Government Chairman, members of the executive committee, ward chairmen, elders, women leaders, youths, and all stakeholders who stood by him throughout the process. According to him, the support and unity demonstrated by party faithful reflect the collective determination to reposition Ibadan North East for meaningful development.
The chairmanship candidate specially appreciated the incoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde, for his inspiring leadership and commitment to grassroots governance.
He also conveyed his gratitude to the governorship candidate of APM, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, whose vision for a greater Oyo State continues to encourage party members across the state.
Hon. Balogun, also specially appreciated his political leader, mentor, and political father, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Adebisi Olopoeyan, whom he described as a pillar of support, wisdom, and guidance in his political journey.
He noted that the counsel and encouragement of the respected leader have strengthened his resolve to pursue people-centred leadership rooted in integrity, accountability, and service.
Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Ibadan North East, Hon. Balogun stated that his candidacy represents a new path of inclusive governance, infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and community progress. He called on party members and residents to remain united and support the APM ahead of the election, assuring them that through Kollaboration, the aspirations of the people would be achieved.
The message ended with prayers for the continued growth of the Allied People’s Movement and the progress of Ibadan North East Local Government, while supporters across the local government have continued to congratulate Hon. Balogun on his emergence as the party’s standard bearer.
