Isese Day 2026: Oyo govt. declares Thursday August 20 public holiday
The Oyo State government has declared Thursday, August 20, as a work- free day to mark the 2026 “Isese Day” celebration.
A signed by the Secretary to the Oyo State Government Professor Musibau Babatunde, and made available to journalists on Wednesday urged people to used the occasion to pray for the peace, unity and stability of the State and the country in general.
The statement reads: “The Oyo State Governor, His, Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde has graciously declared Thursday 20th August, 2026, a work-free day to mark ” Isese day” celebration in the State.”
